The Wall Mounted Area Velocity Flowmeter DOF6000-W is designed for measuring flow in open channels and partially filled pipes by combining Doppler ultrasonic velocity measurement with liquid level detection. The system calculates volumetric flow by measuring the flow velocity within the liquid and the corresponding liquid level.
The instrument uses a submerged Doppler ultrasonic velocity sensor to measure the velocity of the flowing liquid while a level sensor measures the depth of the liquid. By combining these measurements, the system calculates the flow rate within open channels, drainage systems, and partially filled pipelines.
The wall mounted configuration provides a fixed installation suitable for continuous monitoring in industrial and municipal applications. The system is commonly used for flow monitoring in wastewater, stormwater drainage, irrigation channels, and other open channel environments where conventional full-pipe flowmeters cannot be applied.
