3LPP Coated Steel Pipe (Three-layer Polypropylene Coating) is manufactured with a multi-layer external coating system designed to protect pipelines from corrosion, mechanical damage, and elevated temperature environments. The coating structure consists of three protective layers that combine corrosion resistance with mechanical strength.
The coating system includes a Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) primer layer, which bonds directly to the steel surface and provides primary corrosion protection. A copolymer adhesive layer is applied over the epoxy to ensure strong bonding between the primer and the outer coating. The outer layer consists of polypropylene (PP), providing enhanced resistance to impact, abrasion, and higher operating temperatures.
This three-layer coating structure provides long-term protection against environmental exposure and helps maintain the structural integrity of steel pipelines during transportation, installation, and service.
3LPP coated steel pipes can be produced in a wide range of diameters and wall thicknesses depending on project requirements and may be supplied according to relevant pipeline coating standards.
